Whoo!
I have finally made my FINAL decision. NUS-FASS!!! Although it was a rather long journey, but I shall embrace the traveling time spent everyday. Seriously looking forward to school man. It is such a blessing to go school and study.
The past few weeks have been rather trying and frustrating, but it was an enriching experience and on top of that, I have been very blessed with the fact that I have options to choose from even though my grades weren’t outstanding. So praise God!!
This week, I had a couple of first-times this week
1) Dinner at Simpang Bedok with Vee, Dazz, Zhixi, and our latebird, Rebecca. Ben asked me where have I been living for the past 19 years. I replied him “Mars”. Haha.
2) Drank ‘teh peng’. Well, it doesn’t appeal to my taste buds. Far too sweet.
3) Tried Nasi goreng or was it nasi-something-else?!? Far too oily so it wasn’t that enjoyable.
4) Ate Old Chang Kee curry puff! Haha. I think jaws are going to drop when people read this. Last year, I recall a particular period in which everybody at work ate Old Chang Kee for every single break or was it every hour? Scary. Well, I’m not a fan of Old Chang Kee but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that there was egg inside.
5) I was gentle to Sara’s dog when I went her house reason being it was traumatized.
Recently, maybe it was the free time I had on hand that I started having some strange ideas. Eg: Half a good mind to create a group of facebook banning the ‘who bought you for a price’. Why in the world have PEOPLE become a commodity that can be bought, owned and used? What is the world coming to? On top of that, I was looking through some of profiles of others, and some ‘friends’ bought their ‘friends’ for $38!!! Oh dear. Aren’t we all wonderfully and beautifully made? Next thing we know, we’re only worth $38! Cheaper than a handphone, PSP and books. Reduction of identity. In this ever-changing world, thank God that there is one person, one identity, one purpose, one direction remains CONSTANT.
That night, Gera’s mum made my day. She’s hilarious in the sense that she’d suddenly introduce me to people at NAC after lunch when I was working there, calls me ‘Glory’, and many other things. However, she’s really sweet. FREE TICKETS FOR 2 arts fest shows!!!!!! *jumps around in glee*
Dear friends,
I will be gone for the next 2 and a half weeks. Fare thee well!
